Aeriel looked up at Ramon as he paced, there was no way she was going back with him to that place. Just wasn't happening. And just in case he had been given orders to take her back with him she would happily walk back to the hotel.
Before either of them got any further she felt undead power and age crawling across her mind. Before the vampire even crossed the threshold of the church doors she could easily feel that he was older then a thousand years. But by how far she wasn't quite sure. She was pretty sure without being told that this was Gates. The master vampire Ramon had mentioned.
All Aeriel wanted to do was run and hide again but there was no way to do that here. He would catch her long before she made it the doors. Looking at the lycanthrope that backed away from her the vampire she felt the serious urge to shoot him to but there was no way to explain that away. He wasn't attacking her.
She felt Gates eyes settle on her feeling the way he penetrated her shields like they weren't even there. She knew the moment he felt her cold dead power that was so much like his. Aeriel didn't dare raise her eyes to his, there was no way she would be able to withstand his age and power. She knew well her current limitations and they sucked at times like these.
When his eyes turned to Ramon she shook herself a little trying to settle her nerves. Hoping his attention stayed off of her Aeriel began scooting little by little away from the two of them. She only had a few bullets left and she wasn't all that certain she wanted to use them, yet.

Looking to the door and in fact far beyond it with senses that pinpoint the dark flame of amassing forces Gates smiled coldly. If there were ever a force that might one day challenge him in his place as Master it was Christian. He still held sway as his den of iniquity helped provide sustenance to many a lazy vampire. Why hunt why build a cadre of donors when Christian offered so freely of what was not his to give. They failed to see the larger picture. In taking their oaths and being made welcomed they forgot that he was the sovereign. That in his noblesse oblige they perceived a weakness. More was the pity as Chance and Chidera would find their plates laden with those who would beg to not be at their tender mercies.
“Those you have offended are coming en masse. It is to be a spectacle Ramon. We will go meet them and address this would be mutiny. You will present your case and a decision will be made. One many can not live with.” Gates said watching from afar as Christian roused his would be minions. Gates cooled his aura to set the twinkling of the crosses to dim. Looking at the Priest he bowed his head in deference before turning his gaze to Ramon’s would be damsel.
“Ignorance of the law is no exception. I am Gates Master of the Crescent City. Will you allow me to have but one drink of you to settle the debt so that I may quell the rebellion you managed to ignite. As for the defense of self the shootings we will roll into the price being paid.”
He wouldn’t rush her decision but it was one she would have to make soon as he felt Christian and his force closing slowly picking up stragglers and growing in aim. Gates chuckled to himself at the thought of what was to befall Christian. He would not have the mercy youth would grant those too young to know what Gates truly was. Christian however was old enough to know this was the greatest of follies and would cost him dearly. The punishment of sending away his house matron was not rebuke enough. Gates would have to in fact end the man.
Reaching out to thse loyal in truth to him as a person and Master of the City Gates sent one missive ‘prepare’. The Chapel would be filled with victims of play for a very long while after this night.

Ray sighed gently seems no good deed went unpunished, he couldn't have let her be fed on and yet here they were. Shoulders squared up and chin lifted he fell into step with Gates but a hair behind not out of protection but out of rank differential. Standing on the steps of the church and looking out at the night, he could feel them now too like a weight of cold in his spine . He would not run and would fight if need be but he rather this be solved with out his blood shed.
He looked at her" I hope you understand the place this has gotten us all, and that what ever you are will help us some how because I dont regret coming to help but .."
He trailed off it didn't matter now any way what was done was done and he would tell his part of it all. Looking outside again he could see them now as they trailed towards the church fifteen to twenty of various shapes sizes looks and ages. Unified by a sense they had been cheated some how of the woman behind him. All wanting their fair share of someone they had no real rights to save some stupid rule they had made up. He knew the man near him could wax the stones with most of them but if they all came at them at once even the un-luckiest dog had its day.

Aeriel stopped scooting down the bench and gaped at Gates. Was he seriously asking her to share her blood with him? Was he insane? She'd already told Ramon no but apparently she was going to have to say it again. She knew the vampire had an inkling of what she was and she knew what giving him her blood would do for her. Plus she highly doubted that letting him do the honors would placate anybody.
She did understand what they were saying to her but she refused to pander to them. If it meant she died tonight then so be it. Aeriel followed them to the steps of the church and watched from behind Gates and Ramon as shapes appeared from down the street, every last one of them were vampires. Just what she needed.
She waited until the approaching vamps came closer trying to hold out on giving her answer even though she had long ago made up her mind. Aeriel walked past Ramon to stand next to Gates looking up at him. "I'm sorry for all involved but as I told your boy here I refuse to share blood. I don't mind helping out but beware I am not as powerful as I would like to be. And I have only a few silver bullets left." She had no idea what he was planning to do or what his reply would be to her.

Gates rose a brow at the necromancers refusal. He chuckled darkly. “So Ma petite poupée de mort vous êtes un nécromancien 1, very well we will speak later for now your hand in mine.” Reaching out he took her hand in his. He as she was standing to his right that left her right hand free. Speaking to her mind he said, ‘You can resist but if things progress as I see them you will in fact bleed one way or another. A draught of your blood before them will sate a portion of their blood lust allowing me to deal with the true cause of this problem.’ Gates wouldn’t force her at the moment Christian was the issue to be dealt with now and with his witnesses it made the perfect forum to force his hand. Gates erected a blank face filled with the mild air of annoyance. Projecting his annoyance like a damp blanket over the encroaching vampires he raised his voice insuring they heard his every word. “Vous êtes tous rassemblés illégalement mais le pardon est le vôtre pour refuser. 2” Gates began as he slowly raised the curtain on his shields. He allowed measure by measure of his strength to wash over the area. “Ceux qui fuient ou à genoux maintenant ne seront pas punis. Ceux qui restent soutenir ce criminel sera puni en conséquence. 3” Smilin g Gates met Christians gaze as he paused mid speech his mouth hanging open as if he was unsure what to say next. 1 My little death doll you are a necromancer 2 You are all gathered illegally but forgiveness is yours to deny. 3 Those who flee or kneel now will not be punished. Those who remain supporting this Criminal will be punished accordingly.

He heard her and kept silent it wouldn't get him any where his eyes were on the vamps. Then the shields came down and he flinched but stood firm watching the younger ones only a few years dead shrink back and some outright ran scared. Some of the older ones hesitated and looked to their leader and then dropped to their knees in supplication. That was smart was all he could think.
In the end Christian had only himself and the two who had been shot and one other brave older female vamp with jealousy in her gaze. She hadn't got why all this fuss over a human and wanted her to hurt her for that reason alone. " Give her hear Gates this was none of you or your pets concern she came in and ate from us we demand our payment"
Ray looked at her annoyed, he was no ones pet and that had been the second time tonight hed been referred to some what derogatorily first boy now pet. Lips curled, and feeling his claws want to shift. Taking a deep breath and blowing it out, blood had not been offered yet but violence simmered on the air. He knew what the legend of necromancers was heck he'd even gone to St louis on tour and had the infamous Anita and her dates sit in his audience so what was the deal with this one what was she so afraid of in letting go of the tight grip she had on her blood and power.

Aeriel almost protested having to hold hands with the vampire standing next to her but when faced with an enemy it was always better to go with the one you knew over the one you didn't, or so she had heard. She had never actually had to put it to the test until tonight. She heard him loud and clear but then he didn't know her character. If they were going to have any kind of a working relationship he would soon find out she meant what she said. And she would shoot him if need be, not that she would tell him that.
When gates let his shields down Aeriel shivered in an awareness she wasn't used to. He washed over everything making it hard for her not to want to join him. They stood there as one by one each vampire made his or her own decision. It was rather comical how most reacted but the ones that stayed would learn quickly enough that what they had just done was beyond stupid.
Aeriel could feel the annoyance and anger sliding off Ramon and it made her wonder what was wrong with him but it wasn't like she could ask. Her own anger came to the front at the female vampires words. Aeriel held back a scathing remark but just barely. She knew she should keep her mouth shut and let Gates handle this problem but damn it was hard.

Gates watched as the fame of rebellion died in most of the others hearts. Christian was the lynchpin. He fancied himself a would be Master as he had resided in the city as long as he had. Gates would keep Christians alive in one form or another to mock him in the after life. For now Adeline was a thorn he had not expected. But he had to remember she fed on rage. She was in truth a bastard of Belles line and her twisted love of confrontation made her far too full of herself. She’d sow discord anyway she could. Raising Aerials hand as he spoke pouring power into his words. “She is mine. None of you have claim to her ever. Damn the petty believed rules of Christians. Do you challenge me…” Gates didn’t say Ray was his and by doing so it would foster that he was in fact his own man with no direct ties to him. He would have to distance himself publicly so that Ramon would become invisible again. The question that mattered was thrown. Christian couldn’t couch his rebellion as anything but what it was now. If he disputed anything Gates said he would be giving challenge or tucking tail and running like the rest. Releasing Aeriel’s hand he stepped forward placing himself midway between Christians remaining and Aeriel it was to his tactical advantage. It would give Aeriel room to draw and site and Ramon room to shift and attack should he need to. “I ask you once more” Gates said closing more ground his aura buffeting those before him. “Do… you… challenge?” Standing mid-way he spoke to Christians mind buffeting his shields aside as if they were kindling. ‘This is your death you best make the best of your time. Martial yourself and attack or else I will. It is better to try and fail than simply fail for lack of trying. ‘ Smiling he added ‘Vous lâche lâche d'une perte de chair’ 11 You craven coward of a waste of flesh

Adeline hissed at his words knowing well she was out matched then looking to Ramon since Gates had not claimed him" Then give us the beast he is not yours and he injured one of ours surely we might have a taste of him"
Ray let his claws lengthen he was not normally a violent man but that one was ticking him off. Eyes going black, he would not shift fully but already his senses heightened." He cannot give what is not his you must be pretty hard of hearing for a vampire. you want something from me you ask me but right now I owe you nothing and will never owe you anything"
His voice held an unnatural gravel to them now, this had gotten stupid fast. Watching the one still after all this all the power floating around them still stand tall and sacrificial maybe this was some sort of plot to bait him into looking cruel and horrid to raise discontent. He could tell manipulations as that was his strength calling to Gates. " my friend they are trying to set you up if you kill him without mercy over this slight the woman will sow her discontent to the others and try to turn them against you, if there is a way to punish him for this while sparing his low and base life then it could be avoided ..we should also probably kill all of them but him as they will look to cause further harm."
Staring the blond in the eyes and seeing his twitch as if slapped at being outed and the women looked ashen like she might look for a way out. He leaned closer to Ariel "shoot to kill the woman first shes fastest."

Aeriel bit her lip over Gates saying he owned her. Later when this was done and over with she would set him straight if need be. When he finally released her and stepped forward between the two sides she was little confused at what he was doing. But when Ramon told her who to shoot first if need be she was quickly enlightened. Honestly she agreed with the were on the situation but at the same time from what she could gather the male standing before them also needed to die. There was no way the woman was getting away from them not if she could help it anyways.
Not taking her eyes off the group of vampires Aeriel said to Ramon "she may be fast but I wont miss." In reality she knew there was a good chance she could miss her target. Vampires were obviously faster than humans but she had spent a good amount of time hunting down rogues lycanthropes and vampires alike. She was pretty confident in herself she just hoped she didn't accidently shoot Gates or Ramon. That would put a damper on things.
Aeriel took a small step or two to the right getting ready to draw if necessary she could see the thoughts flitting across the face of the woman and knew there was a good possibility she would have.

Gates smiled at Ramon’s suggestion. Let the flame be lit Christian would be just that a martyr if he didn’t act further. His actions thus far had been far too much to be accepted. Gates moved further into their midst. They were underestimating him which was folly. Christian was shocked that Gates could run two conversations at once yet he was foolish enough to allow Adeline to wield him like a weapon. Gates almost felt sorry for him. Almost but not quite near enough to turn aside his next few actions. Seeming to turn his attention form Christian he addressed Adeline directly taking a step further into their midst. "So you will use this connard as your stalking horse to challenge me. Mon ma Adeline telle duplicité . Peut-être que j'ai sous-estimé la profondeur de votre ambition . Il est bien sûr facile de faire l'examen de votre existence imparfaite . " 1 Gates shrugged as if he’d simply stated a fact. He had but it wasn’t a commonly known one. Adeline rarely allowed many to know which line she truly hailed from. Her maker had used her awfully subjecting her to many overtly sexual interactions in hopes of stirring the Arduer in her. All failed but each attempt had become more and more perverse. Gates spoke within her mind an act that was a declaration of her standing and worth to him as he batted aside her shields instead of seeking entreaty peacefully. ‘Vous êtes une chose factured et brisé après tout . On s'attend à ce que votre vision est aussi imparfaite que vous . Ne voyez-vous que si même celui qui n'a pas été doué de vos années peut voir thorugh votre stratagème que c'est seulement un imbécile comme chrétien qui tomberait à ces objectifs faibles .’ 2Christian waffled between action and not he was so far out on a limb there was nothing for him but the fall. The grace had passed him by. If he’d acted when his Matron was sent form the city he would have been while wrong less wrong than he was now. However after such a display if he backed down he would lose what support he had within the community. While the others would still come he would be theirs. He would not be master of his house. He would be no more than a Barwench to serve at their leisure. His standing was shot. He would need to push forward. If Gates spared him there was hope to reclaim his standing. If he didn’t act there would be no chance. Not with Raven and the new Seneschal in the city. He would be lower than low. He would be inedible meat. Growling he lunged for Gates screaming. "A debt is debt ignorance is no excuse and you are subverting what you have given me you are the coward Gates." Adeline felt as if Gates had slapped her his words were worse as he had spoken them to her directly. She could not stand idly by as he insulted her. Yes her ploy was seen through but as the saying went knowing the cards did not make one able to play the hand. Ouring every ounce of her strength not into her shileds as would be the expected but into stirring the dark chaotic heart of Christian she lanced him through with the need to act. As he had drunken deeply of her not more than a night ago the effect was near instantaneous. She smirked a half second before he moved she herself throwing herself to the ground yelling, "Christian! No he is the Master of the City he will kill you." Gates moved faster than they’d expected. He simply was not where Christian thought he was. A physical assault was foolish on the man’s part. It was a sure way to insure he had very little chance of surviving. Instead of Attacking Christina or even countering him he moved to the silent third of their tryptich snapping his neck as he passed. It would leave Christian open for Ramon to either finish him off as he was all but blinded by his own issues or spare him. It was a fair judgment. After all it was Ramon who needed to prove he was not in fact connected with Gates at least publicly killing a vampire was a sure way to do so and his punishment would be official banishment from the Kisses business interests. Sadly it was a costly gambit but one that would suit them both. Aeriel he was sure had drawn and could easily sight down on Adeline. It would be a nice neat tie that would neuter any of Adelines attempts. After all he didn’t know anyone that wouldn’t attempt to kill someone who shot them. However as he had claimed her if Adeline moved without thinking against what was his he would be bound to prove the error of her ways. It was nearly a perfect route to her plan. 1 My my Adeline such duplicity. Perhaps I underestimated the depths of your ambition. It is of course easy to do considering your flawed existence. 2 You are a factured and broken thing after all. It is expected that your vision is as imperfect as you. Do you not see that if even this one who has not been gifted your years can see thorugh your ploy that it is only a fool such as Christian who would fall for such low aims.

He heard the first part but not what sent her to the ground shreking, it was strange that whole thing and totally dishonest. He had to give it to old girl for effort. Now the question was did he kill the man left to him or just hurt him bad because when you left an angry vamp alive most times you had to watch your back. He'd be infamous either way. Deep breath and rushing at the rage mad vampire but at the last moment dropping low and claws extended shredding his leg near off above the knee.
The power in the hit was meant to send the man flying up and coming down hard where he could further dismember him but keep him alive. Sitting on him pinning his arms ray used brute force strength to rip the other leg off at the knee tossing the leg behind him. He didn't know if the woman was watching and didn't care right now he needed to do this. Breaking both of the vampires arms in concert then standing to look at him. He was bleeding quite alot and would have a hard time recovering from his injuries but he probably wouldn't die.
Suffering super slow healing of the one leg and less slow but just as painful healing of the rest should be a deterrent he hoped if not the next time he ran into him Ray would pop him between the eyes with silver and stake him. Walking away from them he opened his mind to Gates flinging back " Im leaving this to you and the girl taking my truck I made my statement but if you need to talk to me later you know how to reach me" in his mind shifting his parts back to human enough to get in the truck and peel out.

Aeriel pulled her gun out for the second time that night pointing it at the female vampire that had obviously been left for her to do with as she wished. She moved closer after Gates snapped the neck of the vamp standing behind the two in front. She stood over her prey on the far side away from Ramon and his sharp claws while he worked over Christian. She kept most of her attention on the vampire at her feet the muzzle of the gun only a couple of feet above her head. Close enough to make sure she would not be getting up after the trigger was pulled.
Normally she didn't get to be on the watching end of somebody getting sliced apart and even she had to admit it was terrifying but beautiful. When Ramon was done she watched him walk away and get into his truck speeding off. The vampire at her feet chose that moment to act against them, making a lunge for Gates. She knew he would catch her before she did any damage to his person but it pissed Aeriel off that she moved. With a growl she fired twice hitting two different places while the vampire was in the air but neither did enough damage to please her. But she would just have to let Gates handle this one as well.

Ramon was not an alpha. He was not the king of his clan nor was he as far as the rest of the city concerned a player in the games of power. He had a following, his band was a local favorite but in the shadow games of the preternatural he was a nonentity. Gates needed that from him especially now this night was illuminating. He had allowed a certain thirst to develop as it promoted a certain image of freedom within the Kiss. It had unfortunately fostered an opinion that he was not in fact as in charge as he was. He was and he would allow the image to continue so that he could divest the city of the remaining bad seeds.
Gates was impressed by Ramon’s grasp of the situation. He extricated himself and left a bad taste in the eyes of any witness. It would to the casual appraisal be a sign that he was in fact not party t Gates ideals. He was also surprised as he watched Aeriel plug Adeline on the fly. She’d shot from the hip and managed to hit Adeline in flight. Gates smirked at the blue-eyed mortal stepping sideways past Adeline’s flight path. In the passing he knife handed her hard enough to knock bones into one another. As she was already bleeding and wounded she dropped prone. She wouldn’t be moving anytime soon but even as she was the brains behind the operation Gates would allow her to live at least a few months more. So that the world would spread like wildfire through the Kiss.
Moving to Aeriel he withdrew his phone calling a nearby resource so that the bodies and soon to be punished asset were removed from the public fare. The cleanup team would be here post haste. “We have to talk Aeriel and talk quickly come with me so that you can dine away these past few moments.”
Offering his arm he motioned towards the line of their path. They were headed for McCarthy’s it was a safe venue for her and he was sure they would have more than enough privacy to speak about her nature. As he offered he sent Ramon a text. ‘Bon spectacle, Sale’ He would seek the man out to reward him before he had to publicly denounce and punish him.

She saw the knife appear in Gates hand and the way he stuck it into the vampires body. A smirk appeared on her face when she dropped to the ground and didn't get back up even though Aeriel knew she wasn't dead. She still felt the major urge to finish the job but Gates was the Master of the City and if he didn't kill her then there was likely a reason he didn't do so. She watched him walk towards her and then tell her that they needed to talk.
"I don't know that I'm particularly hungry anymore but we shall see. In any case I would like something to drink." She placed her hand lightly on his offered arm and walked beside him to McCarthy's. At the entrance Gates held open the door and she stepped inside glancing at him from the side. She didn't know much about him but it appeared he could be a gentlemen when he wanted to be. But then he was a vampire and an older one at that but just because he was old didn't really mean anything.
Looking around the space Aeriel chose an empty table in the corner away from prying eyes and ears. Seating herself she waited for him to join her.
