Gates could see the wheels spinning in her head and gave her a few moments to sort herself. He had as much time as he had and didn’t mind spending it with her. He watched raven size up the room and zero in on her target. While Chidera would have waded in causing the crowds to part like the Red Sea. Raven moved like one made of shadow sliding between thoughts as silent as a dream and twice as heart breaking. He caught her quietly speaking with her prey and them disappearing together. None would be the wiser that he had been rebuked.
Gates could understand how ‘checking in’ could prove difficult to grasp for an adult of Aeriel’s disposition. She seemed a hair headstrong. It was the commonality of any that danced with the devildom of the preternatural world. The darkness brought what strength a person had to the fore or it buried them in their failings. She was a survivor that much was apparent. Gates smiled that one such as she would cross his path. He was not the sort to woo her to his way of thinking but he was willing to share feely should she be willing. "Yes you should but for now merely where and when you are going. In trade of sorts I will secure your safe return. I will not pry as to your reasons provided you can assure me that they would not threaten what standing I have. I will extend you the same trust I expect."

Looking down at the mostly forgotten food Aeriel reached down and snagged several more bites of her burger that was slowly going cold. She didnt think what she did would threaten his standing since what she did was chase down not only criminals but rogue lycanthropes and vampires as well but she wasnt sure. She figured she could do what he asking even if it rubbed her the wrong way but if she wanted to come back alive... Especially with what they were discussing.
Not sure she really wanted to openly discuss her job she mumbled a word or two to herself before saying in a louder voice, "well I don't know that I can say it wont threaten your standing but at the same time I doubt it would. Just so we are clear because I don't know if you know this but I am a bounty hunter when I'm not standing behind a bar counter. But if I am to tell you where and when is there a certain amount of time you need to set it up?"
Aeriel wasn't embarrassed by her job, she did in fact enjoy it in a way but she was surrounded by vampires that had damned good hearing.

Gates smiled as she took time to notice their surroundings even as she was clearly laboring with the proposition. He could not blame her and yet he appreciated her effort all the more for it. Her bloods skill aside she was more human than preternatural. Gates knew that didn’t have to be a permanent development yet he wouldn’t rush into anything. He would walk in spite of his percolating hope for what could come. Smoothing his tie back into place. Gates cleared his throat looking into her a second. He met her eyes as they swept the room settling back to her plate. As she picked at her food remnants he waited listening to her.
He nodded that he had heard her before speaking, "I thought as much, that you were martially trained. It is easy to see how you handled yourself that it wasn’t your first tangling with less than polite vampires."
As he spoke he glanced towards the bartender. He wasn’t eavesdropping though as Master it was his right but he caught a glimpse of a dark haired human who smelled all too much of gun oil speaking of Aeriel. He didn’t know in the moment who or what Caza Salvaxe Services was but as Aeriel had just unfurled a portion of what she did he was sure it was connected.
Taking his focus back to Aeriel he continued as if no seconds passed. “Your itinerary would be a help, your reasons you can share as you wish. We can discuss details later. For now I think your guest has arrived.”

Aeriel watched Gates adjust himself and nod at what she had told him. He didn't act surprised by her revelation but it was obvious he hadn't checked up on her but that still didn't mean he hadn't known. She had definitely dealt with her fair share of bad vampires at one time or another but at least she knew she could take care of herself and rid the world of the nasty ones.
She watched his eyes move from her to the bar and the slight altering of his expression made her look to. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she eyed the man talking with the bartender, there was just something about him that reminded her of herself and it could have been who she had spent her time waiting on but unless he approached her she couldn't be sure. She thought about asking Gates what he heard but it wouldn't have mattered.
He turned back to her looking as if their little impromptu meeting had come to an end. And indeed it had as he suggested her 'guest' had arrived. "Well it was nice meeting with you again. See ya soon." There was no doubt they would be meeting again.
Aeriel stood up pulling out her wallet laying down the money for both her meal and the service. Nodding her head once she headed off for the bar and to the guy. The two of them headed out in look of a more private setting then they could have possibly found in Christians.
