Gates stood looking out of the window. The suite was a nicer one but his eye and ear was years removed from this place and time he was absorbing the weight of what had taken place here years removed. He was planning and as always when he planned he looked back to see forward.
Tempus : Oct 19 2009, 05:40 AM
Tempus had slipped away in while everyone’s attentions were diverted. It had taken him several attempts and no untold amount of preparation but he had tracked down where his brother had stashed Sabin. All in all, not a bad locale considering it was run by vampires. They were notoriously territorial Sabin would at least have very little to fear in terms from reprisals from the local lycanthrope communities. He had not had enough time to scout things out but the city by and large seemed stable. As long as Sabin kept his head down he would be okay.
Cursing T'lynxtri silently Tempus had slipped into Sabin's room to await his return. How exactly would he broach the subject of his brother’s actions while a big issue was only second to why it was important for him to stay put. The coming mess in the city was necessary to force things to coalesce. He hated that he had to be the bearer of such news yet he was oathbound to do right by Sabin.
He did like the man yet he knew that he would be rightly miffed. Opening the window which overlooked the tourist trap below. The view was a welcome one it allowed his mind to wander aimlessly as he turned over the nut that was the present situation. If only his brother could see the endgame things would have been far simpler. Tempus shrugged off the recriminations of his brother he knew that he was as much to blame as T'lynxtri. It had been his doing that began the game. Sadly, it was the only way that as divided as they were that he could know his brother. While the heads of their house watched and wagered on the outcome of the various trials he was able to come to know the devil's left hand.
Looking back over his long life he regretted very few things the choice of their parents was one he would undo if he could.
Sabin: Kashyapa of Chicago
Sabin was tired, bewildered and yet relaxed. He was at the very least in civilized city, the vampires had not called for his blood…yet. As he walked closer to the door, he could feel the presence of magic as he came closer to the door. The feel or would it be taste was familiar. It was Tempus or maybe his brother. The last time he had seen either of them it had involved a stun gun and magic. While he had no idea what was the nature of the attack, while the easiest way to view the whole situation was that it was an attack but the problem was that he was unarmed and all of his items were left right where they should have been. Perhaps it was a psychological attack to scare Sabin off, then again that made even less sense. Well now Sabin had two choices either one her could not go into the room and do something else or he came meet whoever it was face to face. Sabin wasn’t one to run needlessly nor was he one to rush into a situation recklessly. So he slipped Shalpha from his sheath and opened his door with his off hand to see who it was.
Tempus
Tempus felt Sabin's approach before the muffled creak of the door gave away his arrival. Tempus inhaled and exhaled slowly Sabin's caution was well warranted. Even knowing such cut him to the quick. he was sure that Sabin could taste the difference of his aura verses his brothers. Maybe just maybe he gave the snake more credit than he was due. Keeping his back to the door as much as it tickled his neck hairs Tempus kept his hands visible resting on the window sill.
"I'm glad that you have become warier. How goes your vacation so far Sabin? My brother wasn't too harsh was he?"
Sabin
"no your brother was not harsh at all considering."
Sabin knew it was Tempus that was in the room which meant that his brother was still in Chicago doing whatever it was that they did.
"Do you know why your brother did this?" Sabin raised his hands to make a visual show of what "this" was. "I have so far understood that this was meant either as a message to me or more realistically you."
Sabin wondered what were the happenings in
Chicago since his sudden departure.
"So far the Vampires have been...kind and no one else has come into my purview. so it is hard to get a reading on the City with this being said I assume that since you know where I am you have been slow to return me back to the city it is a good guess that I should stay where I am?"
Sabin did not mind staying in New Orleans but it was a bit slow for his taste. he wondered what was happening in the City of the winds, but was content to stay until things calmed.
Tempus
"That’s good considering who we are talking about. Looks as if you might have a friend there."
Tempus sat down in the chair across the room next to the writing desk. "My brother’s motivations are his. I can however hypothesize that he did so to strike back at me as he believes me the devil incarnate. On to why I am here and will be leaving shortly. The City is in a bit of a stir as your local Jack the ripper wannabe has returned with a vengeance. I and my brother are working to put him out of everyone’s misery. Not to mention the fact that your friend the lion and hyena have taken to chasing down my brother. I think it would be best if you stayed here or at least out of the city until the heat dies down so far that’s what the other Bosses are doing."
Tempus looked around the room taking the sumptuous furnishing. "It isn't that bad of a place to lay low considering. Oh and Paul's goon squad has been dealt with. Your buddy helped I managed to keep him in the dark as to what he was really doing."
Sabin
"try not to involve him to deeply, while he is a great guy Heiro is a bit too clean cut, overly honorable nearly unyielding for the out and out dirt that i have to deal in. while Kisa on the other hand does not share his same predisposition. and as far as your brother concerns me I have no issue with him as long as he does not try to kill me. I know he meant no harm this time. of course this time is only this time."
Sabin walked over to the desk that Tempus had moved over to.
" Yes all in all not bad digs. however, I just fell a bit cut off and that is off putting to say in the least."
