Aeriel was still having trouble coming to grips with the sudden influx of power that came with having been tied to Gates. She had known he was old, she could feel it in her bones every time he was near. She had even known he was one scary powerful vampire. But knowing it and actually experiencing it was just not the same thing.
At the beginning it had felt as if she were being swallowed whole with everything that had come through with that last mark. She knew he hadn't meant for it to be like that for her but the man had a lot of baggage. Aeriel snorted as that thought crossed her mind, that was by far a huge understatement.
Currently she sat almost utterly alone in the middle of the huge park. The weather was still plenty warm and the breeze barely existent. She was off the beaten path out beneath the trees leaning against one of the many trunks available. The trees around her were huge which frankly made her feel small but the point was that she was finally getting some much needed space, for the moment anyways.
She was more in her head than anything inspecting her barriers both around her and those that were supposed to keep him out of her head. She had not quite perfected the solid black wall, there were still a few kinks and she still had not yet managed to create a door somewhere in the middle to allow him in when she needed or wanted to without the whole thing coming down. It was frustrating really because she was such a private person. Of course now he knew everything about her he could possibly need to know on a 'hi how are ya basis' just like she knew a hell of a lot about him now as well.
Taking in a deep breathe she settled further making herself untense her senses alert for anything near her and those of course nowhere. It no longer took concentration to find vampires anywhere within city limits. She could now pinpoint all but a few with little effort. It was scary really to go from what she had known about herself to having so much more to contend with. She hadn't yet gone about raising zombies almost to afraid to see what she could now. She had accidentally deeply rolled 2 different vampires before she realized she had done it. For the most part they were back to normal but it seemed both obeyed her far better than either should have. Gates had taken steps to try to prevent such things but it seemed even he couldn't completely control the situation.
---------
An hour later she still sat beneath the trees as she tried again and again to smooth out the wall. She almost had it when she felt tapping on the other side. She growled annoyed to be interrupted but let the wall melt away into nothing. It was still to weird having someone else in her head and in her dreams. It was also embarrassing to admit that he also knew she thought he was extremely good looking but then she was almost certain he got that a lot.
Looking across the dark spaces between them she crossed her arms "what do you want?" She sounded more resigned than annoyed but whatever.
